Repeating History
As some have lived, I have died
I walk and breathe, but I’m a corpse
Seeing the people like me die
I don’t know why I ran,
And now I know I should’ve stayed
I should have let them take me the way they took my parents
Or the babies they used for target practice
But no, now I know that I’m here to remind you
I’m here so history can’t repeat itself
Don’t forget stop history from repeating
Save the others like me.

Survivor
My mother was very sick, always in pain
I couldn’t relieve her pain
So when she died, I didn’t cry
She is happy now
I’m trying to make money
I must take care of my three siblings
I feel that with her death a burden I lifted off my shoulders
Now that I may be HIV positive, I don’t know what to do
I am a survivor
Please stop genocide.
